My name's Liane, I'm a twenty-something graphic designer in Seattle, and I like a lot of stuff.
my ask Jane Crocker blog: askmsjanecrockererPost with 1 note
As always, I’m not looking forward to it. But, for the first time ever… This is my last time going back. Which is a little weird! I might go back to visit (I definitely hope so), but this next twelve weeks will be my last twelve weeks. Very strange!
I’m worried about the suffocating stress levels waiting for me, with all the homework I need to catch up on (I did literally none of it this whole week) as well as jobs that need applying to. Also we’ll see how awake I am at 826 tomorrow; I arrive in Boston at 8am, plan on getting to 826 at 12pm, and I’ll be there until 6pm. Hoo boy.
I really enjoyed my week here in the Seattle area. I went up to Seattle proper and bought a 1930s smut magazine. I also rebooted my Jane blog and am full of inspiration for it, so that’s cool. I think this was a good time to restart it, since I had the time to do a lot of posts. I also have about …six posts in the queue/waiting for me to fix up the pictures, so that’s really neat!
I also read a lot — although almost all of the books were YA gay novels. Interestingly enough, NONE of those books ended with the protagonist(s) happily dating someone! I don’t know if that’s the new trend in YA literature, but it was a definite difference from other YA gay stories I’ve read in the past. I think my favorite wereStickandWill Grayson, Will Grayson.
The thing I’m most not-looking forward to back in Boston is having no one to cuddle with. Juuc is a very good cuddler when we watch movies and I may just have to force my friend Kelly to pet my hair more often. Mmm, hairpets.
